ING DIRECT ranks among the leaders in the Synovate 2008
Best Banking Awards
September 2, 2008, Toronto, ON - An independent customer service survey conducted by market research firm Synovate revealed that Canadians ranked ING DIRECT as a leader in five of 11 Best Banking Awards categories among the country's financial institutions.
Today Synovate released the results of its Customer Service Index (CSI), a quarterly survey based on 35,000 responses from Canadians regarding their experiences with financial services companies. Canadians were asked to rate their actual experience of everything from interest rates and service charges to excellence covering all forms of personal banking touch points.
ING DIRECT placed among the leaders across all financial institutions in the following categories:
- Recommend to Friends & Family
- Products & Services Excellence
- Interest Rates & Service Charges
- Online Banking Excellence
- Telephone Banking Excellence

The Synovate Best Banking Awards is a two-tiered process, one honouring the Big Five banks and another all financial institutions as a whole. This marks the third consecutive year that ING DIRECT placed among the leaders for the Award for Recommend to Friends & Family within all financial institutions overall.
